Helen Poynor gibt „Walk of Life“  Workshops und Trainings Programme in nicht-stilisierter Bewegung und ,environmental movement‘. Sie gründete ihre Arbeit im Jahr 1991 auf der ,Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site‘ im  Südwesten- Englands. Sie ist eine etablierte BewegungsKünstlerin und Lehrerin, die ihren Ansatz über 30 Jahre Berufspraxis entwickelte.  Sie ist spezialisiert auf Bewegung in der Natur, ortsspezifische, autobiographische und improvisatorische Performance und interdisziplinäre Kooperationen, die Installation, Film und bildende Kunst mit einbinden.

Sie wurde intensiv von  Anna Halprin und Suprapto Suryodarmo geschult  und ist von Beiden  als Lehrerin und Praktizierende  anerkannt. Helen hat eine Gastprofessur in ‘Performance‘  an der Coventry University UK. Sie ist Mentorin  für etablierte und werdende BewegungsKünstler. Sie ist eingetragen als ,Dance Movement Therapist‘ (ADMP) und ,Somatic Movement Therapist‘ (Ismeta).

Helen Poynor runs the Walk of Life Workshop and Training Programme in non-stylised and environmental movement, established in 1991 on the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site in South West England.  An established movement artist, teacher and director her approach has evolved out of 30 years of professional practice.  She specialises in movement in the natural environment, site-specific, autobiographical and improvisatory performance and inter-disciplinary collaborations incorporating installation, film and the visual arts.
 She trained intensively with both Anna Halprin and Suprapto Suryodarmo and is recognised by both as a teacher and practitioner.  A visiting professor of Performance at Coventry University UK Helen is a mentor to both established and emerging movement artists.  She is a registered Dance Movement Therapist (ADMP) and a Somatic Movement Therapist (ISMETA).
